Ignore the white lines. If painted by the resident they are simply grafitti.

And as stated, the part of the kerb at same level as roadway is the only part that matters, not the sloping parts. AFAIK, he can park across his driveway if he so wishes.

Not until you have lost the option of a SAC or CoFP.

SAC is going to be the best result.

How do you mean? If you mean that the cross-hairs are in the centre of the plate, yes, it does seem that the operator aligned it correctly.

Nothing wrong with the angle either.

As for calibration, they are factory calibrated every year. They are also subject to a daily procedure which checks alignment etc. Annual calibration and daily checks are two entirely different procedures.

Alleged speed? Limit?

Post the photo here.

Catching speeders is like shooting fish in a barrel, so no need to "get quotas up".

Limit is 40, alleged speed is 47.

I have redacted the number plate, time and issue number for privacy reasons. The plate was readable.

Well the photo looks bang on.

112 million quid on upgrades for 300 buses a day

Random quote... wacko.gif

It's an allusion to the original estimated cost of upgrading the old bridge for use by buses after completion of the new bridge, and maintaining it for 15 years.

What the critics tend not to mention is that by eliminating the need for bus lanes on the new bridge and reducing the number of access roads required it halved the estimated cost of the new bridge.

Thanks!

For those who wish to see the aerial I’ll try to attach it and put a red line where cars were parked.

So you were parked on the access road which would have made it difficult for other cars to enter and exit the adjacent bays?

Would seem to be bang to rights, but wait and see what others say.

QUOTE (aklovin @ Thu, 19 Apr 2018 - 23:16) *
I have received a post from Nottingham Police for apparently doing 43mph on a 30mph road at 00:03 on 14.Apr.18

This took place on A610 Nuthall Road, Nottingham (Between Bar Lane & Broxstowe Lane)

My question is, do I have any ground to appeal any of these fines? I already have previous speeding conviction a few years ago and I've also taken the Speed Awareness Course just under 2 years ago which I means I would not be eligible to take another on.

Any help or advice on getting round this will be greatly appreciated

You make no mention of any defence, so aAssuming you were the driver, simply name yourself and a CoFP should result - 3 points and £100 fine.

IMHO, bang to rights on the contravention. Car entered box without enough space to exit. The van came to a halt to avoid driving into the back of the car in front!

See what others think.

Doesn't matter.

DYLs appear to be there to prevent cars being parked close to a junction. Driver needs to choose safer places to park.

What mitigating circumstances? Not knowing you should update your V5C is no defence. (It's a legal obligation and is clearly pointed out on the V5C).

Not sure if this is the one that you're asking for but this is the first thing from the first page of the pack

You are getting this pack because you have been charged with an offence that can be dealt with by way of Single Justice Procedure.
1. Speeding - exceed 30 miles per hour on restricted road - automatic camera device.

Is that the one you are asking for?

So, because the buyer didn't send the papers to DVLA in the right time, I was never available for a SAC? That completely doesn't make sense, I mean how could that possibly be my fault that the previous owner didn't do his job and that the Police couldn't locate me earlier?

So one offence, speeding. No charge for S.172. That's good. Alleged speed?

Not that it makes any difference to the proceedings, when did you chase up DVLA because you hadn't received the new V5C?

Disd you send off the green slip from the V5C?

You were never going to get offered a SAC in March for an offence back in October.

What offence/s are on the summons?

It means your speed was measured at 57mph at a distance of 400m from the device used to measure your speed.
