Really grateful for any help. I parked my car in September at Chatham St L2 and displayed my ticket - £3.30. Was shocked to come out of uni to find a PCN. I read everything at the meter and came to the conclusion that the ticket was on the wrong side of the windscreen so I sent an informal appeal and included my ticket. This was rejected yesterday and I think it's saying that it was because I didn't display a parking permit. The letter says this but the contravention says 'either a ticket or a permit or a voucher'. So confusing, I was only feet from the meter. They've put photos of signs and marking in the letter which are " examples" of signs. Only faint random white ish markings on the road but not where I was parked. I now have til 9th Feb to pay. Can anyone advise me please?

I've received a PCN from Liverpool when I parked near the uni. I had a valid ticket though with lots of time to run on it. I've been back and read the meter and I think that I got it because the ticket was displayed on the drivers side not the passenger side. This seems really cruel and OTT especially as it's going to cost me over £500 to park anyway. Any advice welcome please.
