Hi,

I am new member to this group. I was hoping to get some advice around a yellow box junction fine I received. This is my 1st ever fine since I have been driving (15 years).

I can see that my back wheels are in the yellow box. I believe however that i was too close to the driver in front. That driver in front of me stopped and i was already in the yellow box and hard no option other than to stop right behind leaving my back wheels in the box.

I don't know if the video footage can be viewed here but I have uploaded the link.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No, if you PM me the details I'll post the video.

Post the PCN - use a pic site such as Flickr or Imgur and post the BBCode links.

here's video. You are the white car on the left. you did charge into the box without waiting for a clear exit. The question is whether an adjudicator would say you are too much in the box and they would probably say yes. You look though to have a bit more room in front. Post the PCN as it may have faults.

difficult to see a de minimis argument succeeding, I'm afraid.

Why do we see so many motorist charging into YBJs without pause or hesitation ? OK, most times one gets away with it, but eventually the trap closes., and as this is such a lucrative source of income to councils in London, they no doubt have cameras at every YBJ

Presumably the Micra driver has also ended up with a PCN. In London, I am really paranoid about YBJs (from following this forum), and will always hold back till I'm sure I'll get across.
