I pulled out of a car park and turned right but didn't realise it was a one way street as it was so wide. At the end of the street is the camera in the photo, is it likely to be to catch motorists doing like I did.

Thanks Gav

Possibly.

Wait and see if PCN arrives in post (assuming you're the RK).

Ok thanks, I'm not familiar with different types of cameras so have no idea if it's just an unmanned cctv camera or something sensor activated. RK is the wife. So would that mean we could unofficially decide who has the points

This will be a council PCN, so there are no points. Just a fine.

However, if you ever receive a Police NIP, only ever name the driver at the time. Deliberately not doing so is risking jail time for all concerned.

Oh, and cameras are quite good at differentiating between husbands and wives, so lying really would be daft.

Where did this happen?

AFAIK, only London councils enforce moving traffic contraventions such as this via CCTV
Police could but not heard of them doing so.

If a PCN, it is not a "fine". "Fine" is not the term to be used to describe a penalty charge. Only "fines" involve possible penalty points etc.

I really do wish people would get this right.

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

Donald Rumsfeld

There are known knowns which, had we known, we would never have wished to know. It is known that this also applies to the known unknowns. However, when one attends PATAS, Mr Rumsfeld's idea that there are also unknown unknowns fails to apply because, anyone who is in the know, knows that unknown unknowns are purely a deception otherwise known as an aleatory experience or also known as a lottery. I know that I know this to be a fact and, in this knowledge, I know that I am fully prepared to present my case but, paradoxically, in full knowledge that the unknown unknowns may well apply in view of some adjudicators' lack of knowing what they ought to know.

Doubt you will hear anything of it then.

Don't try the same thing in London, almost guarantee a £130 penalty appearing in the post.

No sign opposite the car park exit to show which way you [and others] should be going ? GSV might help

Yes there was a sign, directly in sight of the car park exit. What does GSV mean.
