Hello,
I received this baby yesterday : https://imgur.com/a/P5PVIwn It is a charge certificate, for "52M Failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicule (motor vehicules - only buses and bicycles allowed Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm. It says that a penalty charge notice was issued on the 9th of August. I have no idea what they are talking about... Never received any PCN. The vehicule is (was) rented by the time and if a PCN was indeed issued, it may be that the company didn't reply to it, until too late. Do you know what is the usual procedure to follow in that case ? So I can at least see the PCN, the evidences, and appeal. Thank you ! |

Thank you for the quick feedback. So as I understand, I need to wait for the next notice : "Order for Recovery, for total £203.", and I'll follow the procedure from here. (It looks like the guy from the other post sent them a message, and they replied cancelling the PCN ?" Should I do it or not ? (From your other answers Neil, I understand the best thing to do is to wait for the next notice...)
(Note : I just checked the evidence using the PCN number, I see the car in a junction where there is a bus lane on the left, a prohibited right turn, and my car going towards the only allowed road :/ I don't get it... ?) Pictures (the car is going straight) : https://imgur.com/a/V9fVxh9 Anyway... I'll wait for the next document before anything else. This post has been edited by estevenin: Wed, 19 Sep 2018 - 13:01 |

Should I do it or not ? (From your other answers Neil, I understand the best thing to do is to wait for the next notice...) Yes, it is a good idea. It's against the advice we normally give but, oddly, CoL have responded by just cancelling without any stated reason, in both that case and for a friend of mine. I think they are just touchy about the whole Bank scheme. But unlike the other guy, just wait for me to find the wording my friend used. ---- Meanwhile, try and find out from the hire co the date of the earlier PCN they received and the date it was cancelled. Have they charged you an admin fee? They normally do but if they have your card details you may not have noticed. -------------------- |

No problem. ---- Meanwhile, try and find out from the hire co the date of the earlier PCN they received and the date it was cancelled. Have they charged you an admin fee? They normally do but if they have your card details you may not have noticed. They usually do, in that case they didn't. They didn't have my card details and, they were quite soft about over mileage and PCN admin fees (For 3 notices, never paid any)... I will try to find that information out (Hopefully it will not trigger them for the admin fees stuff). Thaks again |

But unlike the other guy, just wait for me to find the wording my friend used. No problem. Sorry, just looked and I only have the cancellation. So, just try similar to the other guy - I have emailed them asking them to send me original PCN and proof of sending. I doubt they will even read it in time before the 14 days left is up. It says on the website it is taking up to 10 weeks to respond to emails. It also says that any queries will halt any further charges to my account. So I hope that is right. I genuinely did not get the PCN, so it was obviously put through another letter box - probably at the annex next door. I should have got it, as I normally do get letters posted to the generic door number stated on the CC, so the flat number is not really essential. The same letterbox would still be used even if they had inserted the flat number. I'd not be too challenging; rather, sound a bit bemused at at having received a Charge Cert without the PCN first. I'm assuming there are no address issues like his? --- If an Order for Recovery arrives anyway, we'll deal with it that way. -------------------- |

Hello,
Thanks for your feedback. No, no address issue, everything is fine, but the car's address is the one from the rental company. I received an answer from them, basically they say that the PCN was initially sent on 09/08/2018, to the registered hirer / keeper (I guess that's me ?). They didn't provided any proof that they did sent it, as I asked them in the email. Here is the mail : https://imgur.com/a/qp1u0TV So should I wait for their next mail then ? |

So just wait for the OfR and we'll help you reset it.
