Not sure if this has been noted elsewhere but there are updates to the manual.

There's a bit of bedtime reading to get on with. smile.gif

Hmmm...don't like this in Chapter 3, page 191 re school entrance yellow zig zags
" However, the road marking itself also indicates that part of the carriageway is subject to a no‑stopping prohibition …"
Seems the guidance is taking the view of some adjudicators despite the specific wording within TSRGD 2016.

According to the Times:

Councils have been told to rip down pointless road signs amid warnings that they waste taxpayers’ money, clutter streets and confuse motorists.

Official guidelines published by the Department for Transport (DfT) say that the “overuse” of roadside warnings in recent years has “blighted the landscape” of many towns and villages.

Local authorities have been told to audit signs in their area and remove those that are “obsolete or unnecessary”. They should also adopt a “less is more” approach to the use of future traffics signs, it says.

The guidelines say that temporary signs should carry a “remove by” date to ensure they are not left by the roadside for too long.

Remove by dates have existed on some road signs for a while, doesn't mean they actually get removed though.
