I don't have a Twitter account, but if someone would like to take pity (if it's not too late) and point them in this direction.....and it's in Scotland.

And maybe ask Head Office to clarify their policy that a car is only allowed to make a single visit to a Tesco carpark in its lifetime....?

Is there any restrictions on when you can return and park again. My daughter got a parking fine through saying she had been in car park for over 5 hrs. She had parked for under 1hr then went home and had to return about 4hrs later and parked again for 15 mins.

Good morning Louise, thanks for getting in touch. I am sorry to hear your daughter received a parking ticket when she visited one of our stores. To allow this matter to be resolved she would need to follow the appeals process on the Parking Notice. TY - Alison

Hi I realise that but just wanted to know if there was time restrictions on when you could return to the car park. Thanks

HI Louise, once a vehicle leaves one of our car parks, they are unable to return. You'll need to query the timeframe with the third party that issued the parking charge notice. Hope this helps a little. Many thanks, Andy smile.gif

I would imagine it's a 'double dip' rather than some obscure no return term.

But 'customer services' for these corporates are usually shocking and run off a predetermined script. My last complaint with Tesco was simply ignored - never shopped there again.

Sounds unlikely.

Got a link for that?

I think he means you can't drive back to the store to return the goods.

That attitude from Tesco is awful.

That Silverburn Shopping Centre is a big place, you could park at Tesco and shop there then walk to the shopping centre.

Walking is good exercise and save on evirnonment if not driving for very short distance.

I believe there is no parking control on main Silverburn shopping centre (If my memory is correct)

It will look bad on Tesco if there are genuine shoppers. The centre is just off the M77 motorway and people can drive from the motorway and park there doing the shop.

I understand Retailers would not like people abusing the parking by parking the car and getting bus to Glasgow City Centre.

ANPR issue with parking system.

Entry 1 ANPR read OK
Exit 1 ANPR read fails

Time between visits

Entry 2 ANPR reads OK or Not
Exit 2 ANPR read OK

Time in Car Park = Exit 2 time - Entry 1 time = Penalty

If the time between visits is shorter than the timeout for the entry data there will be an issue of a penalty for a stay between Entry 1 and Exit 2.
