Public order offence? That would be alarm, harassment of distress. LOL

Can I go to Staffs and collapse in the street and need Ms Tudor to resuscitate please?

More seriously, what is the country coming to when people think that is a sensible response to an ambulance on a 999 call?

The publicity of a prosecution might discourage some others

Not unlike the behaviour recently reported about London Underground users abusing a blind person because they couldn't get past his guide dog on the escalator

Presumably the verbal abuse mentioned in the article.
The note is simply icing on the cake to illustrate the mindset of the person who left it.
And is presumably the person giving the crew verbals.

Looks like she's got form

Charged with a public order offence AND breaching a restraining order

According to reports she doesn't even have a car

If she is actually being prosecuted for leaving a nasty note (as reported, and not for something else), this country has gone insane. There will always be nasty people in society. But the appropriate response is not to put them to work arresting people and throwing them in gaol for writing stroppy notes.

It’s probably more to do with the alleged verbal abuse.

It’s probably more to do with the alleged verbal abuse.

Staffordshire Police said in a statement: "We’ve charged a woman from Stoke-on-Trent following an incident yesterday afternoon (18 February) where paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service were subjected to verbal abuse whilst they attended a medical emergency.

"Kirsty Sharman, aged 26, from Tunstall, is charged with a Section 5 Public Order offence and breach of a restraining order. "

If that is a CBO she is going to Pentonville for a lie down icon_hang.gif

If she was verbally abusing the crew while they were bringing a patient out to the amblance it even further adds to the suggestion it should be taken seriously (the reports arent clear if the patient was with the crew when they were verbally abused).

Unemployed, on a restraining order, hideous attitude, had her kids taken away for their protection, sounds like a lovely catch!

A peruse of her facebook page is enough to make you wretch.

Seems unlikely, given that Pentonville is a male Category B prison. happy.gif

Unfortunately working as a nurse this and much more is common. I have been spat at, scratched, had sh*t thrown at me, verbally abused more times than I care to mention, had to physically restrain active drug users with all the dangers that brings. Female colleagues are routinely groped.

We have "security" buttons on the wall in A&E but it is for show, no-one comes if you press them.

Sometimes it is for medical reasons which is understandable. Sometimes it is just because paramedics and nurses are seen as a soft target compared to the police, that there are very unlikely to be consequences.

The chap who spat at me (and many others), we were told that we had to do a 30 day behaviour log so that they could then apply for a place in a secure hospital. Being told "take the abuse for 30 days so we can get the paperwork in place" is crazy. Unfortunately he needed pretty extensive medical treatment so doing nothing wasn't an option.

We have some eastern European nurses working and they say if they did it at a hospital in Poland they are taken down to the main entrance and told to arrange their own care - so unsurprisingly they don't do it!

With this woman here although normally it would be overkill with the apparent past history and written note as well you feel she is asking to be made an example out of.

Holloway, across the road, (my old home).

Good library next door, John Barnes.

More like let off with the breach of community order, that was dropped by police/CPS
