Dear All,
I wonder if anyone could I advise on this PNC. The driver received a PCN from Britannia Parking stating he had " failed to validate stay or make a valid payment". He parked his car at a local car park next to a hotel at around 20:25 whilst visiting friends. Because of the time of day he didn’t think to purchase a parking ticket hence the PNC. The PCN has photos and times of his car entering and leaving the car park. Can anyone advise on how best to address this one Many Thanks This post has been edited by Kipsta: Fri, 19 Oct 2018 - 10:10 |

Complain to the hotel and ask them to cancel.
Did he see any signs, was it clear that he had to "validate"? Post up the suitably redacted PCN but leave the dates. |

Edit the post
The identity of the driver MUST be hidden Call them "the driver" as in "the driver parked..." |

Thank you, driver identity has been hiden Here is a copy of the PNC Complain to the hotel and ask them to cancel. Did he see any signs, was it clear that he had to "validate"? Post up the suitably redacted PCN but leave the dates. The friends were in a restaurant across from the hotel, is the any millage in complaining to them? Will visit the site to see what sign are in place and if they are visible at that time of day |

Worth a try.
But look at it from their point of view - the car park is for hotel guests use, not for people visiting a restaurant. Its likely why they've hired a parasite PPC in the first place! |

Appeal using the usual template appeal from the named registered keeper (see the NEWBIES thread on MSE).
Then try POPLA but parking like that is pretty selfish, to assume not having to read any signs or validate parking just because it's evening, and to use a Hotel car park when not even going in...so not sure you will win. Not that anyone here will tell you to pay this dross, but seriously never use a private car park like that. The driver could almost certainly have parked on street, free, as most cities allow on street bay parking after a certain time. |
