Is anyone else having issues with the search function in the box, top right, of the forum?
I have tried various searches over the last 24 hours without success. The response returned is a blank page as per the link: http://www.pepipoo.com/search-results.htm?...ss=735j276273j3 -------------------- Cabbyman 11 PPCs 0

Doesn't work for me either but the forum software is very old.
You can get similar results by telling Google just to search the forums. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site%3Aforums.pepipoo.com In fact reading up it seems Google are discontinuing/have discontinued Site Search which is probably why it's broken. |

Only occasionally use that.
More often use the 'search' function under 'my assistant' button. -------------------- |

The response returned is a blank page as per the link: http://www.pepipoo.com/search-results.htm?...ss=735j276273j3 I just clicked on your link and it worked fine. You can get similar results by telling Google just to search the forums. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site%3Aforums.pepipoo.com That's exactly what the search box does, so no surprise that it's "similar". In fact reading up it seems Google are discontinuing/have discontinued Site Search which is probably why it's broken. Half right; Google Site Search is being closed down in April, but our forum search box uses Google Custom Search (as it says in the box), which is continuing. More often use the 'search' function under 'my assistant' button. There are two reasons not to do what you're suggesting.

Problem with searches Don't agree to them without first examining the warrant. Check the details on the warrant carefully. At least 10% of them are defective or the rozzers are trying to exceed their authority. If there's any error or opportunity, (politely) tell them to fcuk off and make sure you don't injure their noses when you (gently) slam the door shut. |

Is this supposed to be an amusing rejoinder, or are you just the kind of fool who posts the same nonsense wherever one of their hot-words appears? -------------------- Regards,

The hot word being 'with?' I can't see anything else that could be contentious, Fredd!!

Talk about make me feel bad! Get rid of it then. I find the google search tends to throw up very old cases (although I haven't looked to see if result order is adjustable) I'm generally looking for examples of latest docs for various councils. -------------------- |

I wasn't having a go at you, just explaining why we don't want to promote that search method over the Google Custom Search method.
I don't want to get rid of the native search function, for the odd occasions when it is useful. But if it were to be used for routine searches, when it's not the best option anyway, then I'd have to. This is one of those occasions when you can f*** something up for everybody if you're not sensible. -------------------- Regards,
