Gladstones solicitor, Uk car park management Ltd Options

Hello friends i am back once again today i have received yet another letter from a different solicitor (Gladstones Solicitor) citing that i owe £160 to Uk car park management Ltd. I havent a clue where this happened or when i parked in there car park etc but the letter from gladstones is a letter before claim letter and i hope someone can help in what i should do next. I ignored such a letter previously and i am in a court case against CEL on where i am being helped out on another thread.In the Gladstones letter it says i need to reply within 30 days or legal proceedings will take effect thank you for reading.

OK, from a previous answer, I presumed that your mother was the leasehold owner of the property and that you were renting it from her. But I think I have a better picture now, i.e. your mother is renting the property under a tenancy agreement and you are simply living with her.

I think what you, whjohnson and, now, I have found is not the tenancy agreement, but some explanatory text about the tenancy agreement. It implies that, under the tenancy agreement, you do not have a right to park where you live unless you display a parking permit. I presume that you did park without displaying a parking permit.

Unless you can demonstrate that your mother's tenancy agreement states something to the contrary, you could have a problem defending the claim and your mother could end up in trouble with the landlord for failing to comply (by failing to ensure that you complied) with the tenancy agreement.

If the tenancy agreement does allow you to park there at all, post what it says, in which case I may be able to offer you some assistance.

Alternatively, if the tenancy does not allow you to park there, you need to seek others' views on how you might defend yourself against a claim, e.g. forbidding signage, failure to meet the requirements of Schedule 4 to POFA2012, etc..

You can ask Gladstones for any missing paperwork, e.g. the parking contract, the notice to keeper and so on, by replying to the letter before/of claim.
