Hi all,

Please can you help and offer some advice?

Now, I know it is not an excuse but I did not even know it was a penalty offence to drop someone off at a bus stop! Wish I had know that last week. My first time driving through Kingston has become very costly.

I am wondering if I have a reason for appeal because the bus stop road markings were incomplete. There are no yellow markings on the road-side of the bus stop. Looking at Google maps, the road has recently been resurfaced and they have not re-drawn the yellow dashes on the outside of the bus stop (they were present in the Google Maps picture from April 2018 but are not there now).
Please see the pictures below:

I cannot seen any warnings of CCTV enforcement but don't know if there need to be any.

Grateful for any help and guidance you can provide.

Thanks,

The thick yellow line should follow the kerb in the gutter. It is clearly present. No other yellow markngs are required.

Just the thick yellow line in the gutter and the "No Stopping" time plate.

The yellow no loading markings are unnecessary as stopping is not permitted at all in a bus stop. The PCN looks compliant, you could post the rest of the PCN in case there's any errors in the small print, and check the Traffic Management Order for any flaws, but failing that the discount would be a good option.

Thank you for your replies and I appreciate the time taken to look at the situation for me.

Please find below the remaining pages of the PCN:

I have viewed the video on their website. It is 26 seconds in duration and shows the car arriving and being stationary for 6 seconds before the video ends. It stops before anyone exited the vehicle.

Once again, I am grateful for your advice.
