Evening all. My vehicle recently received a PCN whilst parked at a retail park in Scotland, where it is required to display a ticket for up to 2 hours free parking. Can anyone offer any advice on how I should proceed in dealing with the PCN?
Images attached. Thanks! This post has been edited by GA14YOOWF: Thu, 9 Dec 2021 - 12:55 |

In Scotland the current advice is to ignore. Unless the keeper is a lease/hire firm?
Alternatively, see if the shops with intervene to get cancellation in the circumstances. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |

Thanks Jlc! I thought that might be the case but thought it best to double check anyway.
I take it no correspondence with ECP is required at all then? This post has been edited by GA14YOOWF: Thu, 9 Dec 2021 - 12:51 |

No correspondence needed at all, you can ignore.
And of course, you would only say you weren't the driver on the day if that were true. Lying in writing is never wise. Edit: as a precaution it'd be wise to edit your posts to not reveal the identity of the driver on this thread.
