Hello all,

I really hope someone can help me please.

I was issued a PCN for contravention 27 - Parked in a special enforcement area adjacent to a dropped footway.
I wasn't aware you can be fined for parking partially in a dropped kerb(i know ignorance is probably not an excuse).

https://www.google.com/maps/place/36+The+Ri...33;4d-0.3094528

One thing I have observed that all pictures are within one minute , I have read somewhere that for contravention 27 - they need to provide wait period - may be I am wrong.

Please help

Thanks in advance.

Afraid that's very much in contravention and the resident probably called the council. Unless you were there doing something like boarding someone there's no chance of appealing this.

Can't see any faults on front of PCN; can't read back.

Put a challenge in during the discount period, if nothing else ask for discretion to be used to cancel.
But don't lose the discount.

Bang-to -rights. Pay the discount. A definite 'Lose' at adjudication.

Asking for discretion just means something like "I am usually very careful where and how i park but can see from your pictures that my car was somewhat over a dropped kerb. I did not realise this at the time. I would appreciate it if you would use discretion to cancel on this occasion and I undertake to check carefully in future."

It's probably futile but if you don't ask don't get.
