Hello all - thanks in advance for any help that you might be able to give.
I've just looked out my window to see the unpleasant sight of a PCN on my car. I last used it on Sunday evening and apparently today the bay became suspended for a period of four hours. It's worth noting that the parking suspension notice is some way down from where the car is parked, and not in the direction I travel when I leave my car, so I wouldn't have noticed it even if it had been up on Sunday evening (which I'm pretty sure it wasn't). Obviously I am extremely angry about this. They've also stung another driver who was parked even further away from the signage. I don't particularly want to fork out 65 quid for this, especially when I pay 145 pounds a year anyway for the privilege of parking outside my house. I've attached as many photos as I took. My car is the silver Audi A1 and the other car affected is the Honda 4x4. The photo down the road is designed to show the distance between the suspended bay sign and my car. please let me know if there's anything else that might help my case. Thank you! |

Post the council pictures. Also when did you park exactly?

You still need to tell us exactly when you parked, to the best of your recollection. In the meantime I've asked for the suspension log.

Ate you the registered keeper and are your DVLA details current? I ask because 25 of the 28 days before a NTO may be issued have already passed. You've missed the discount period, but it might be re-offered if you submit reps before Monday. Judging by progress to date and any further delay which might be added by not submitting reps before the suspension log is obtained your chances of submitting reps in time are ****. Resolve to submit reps in time and answer the question about the registered keeper pl. |

Here are the suspension logs: https://bit.ly/3v1e2UI
These confirm the sign was only put up the day before, and your car was already in the bay when the signs went up. The PCN was issued less than 24 hours after the sign went up, so you'd need to check your car what, ever 12 hours or so? No adjudicator is going to accept that, so I'd take this all the way if need be. Did you challenge the PCN, and have you heard anything back from the council? -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php
