Hi
Received this from tfl. Circumstances were heavy gridlock on N Circular due to an accident that apparently happened several hours earlier so lots of drivers using side routes. I was following a large van which stopped when a traffic light ahead turned red. The yellow-box is to allow traffic moving from side road on left and not blocking cars trying to turn right. I stopped car as soon as I reqalised traffic was stopped but did not block traffic from either side. The pcn contains no information about further pictures (found online) or about video (not there) Any grounds for challenging? Thanks |

How long was the stop? You are too far into the box for a minimal contravention. Only worth getting video from TFL if there is a possibility of say your exit lane being suddenly taken - it looks to me like you could have exited the box alongside the truck (which you should have done - never stop in a box junction!).

Till traffic light changed - few minutes. Oldest picture is timed at 17:58:54 last is at 17:59:06 No video on website. Nor any information about accessing it. If I would have gone behind truck I would have been stuck in the yellow box the other way & potentially blocked traffic trying to move across the yellow box |

You have to request video from TFL.
No, it looks like you could have gone across alongside the truck not behind it (it is not a problem to be a bit on a white hatched area). If the truck cut across from left to right and you thought it blocked your exit lane that is grounds for a decent appeal. |

Next page is about making representation. You really want to see it? Wrong question.Do you want us to look at it and tell you what's wrong with it? and he asked - Rest of PCN? -------------------- |

I thought so but hatching is protecting a bollard. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.615051,-0...3312!8i6656 With the TL right there I can't see how you fail to notice it change - they have a funny habit of doing that. Maybe couldn't see it past the truck? This post has been edited by Neil B: Tue, 20 Feb 2018 - 12:33 -------------------- |

Location cited. NCR/Victoria Is it?
Also get the video prevailing traffic conditions may give you a reason for a sudden stop that would carry you slightly into the box, but that can only be ascertained by viewing -------------------- All advice is given freely. As maybe apparent from the photos, that road curves round so the traffic light is not visible till one gets to the curve. The truck in front obscurred the lights.
I have asked for video. They've put it in the post and put the pcn on hold until then |
