I had never heard of this brown badge scheme until today , got a ticket due to parking on a wrong bay apparently which was for brown badge holders, I have heard of blue badge not brown .The whole car park was full due to an event and surprised they wouldn’t have parent and toddler bays reserved such as this .I even purchased a ticket which was supposed to be displayed on the dashboard in good faith , really felt too disappointed. Hoping to appeal and need advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation .please help !!

Who issued the ticket?

--------------------
RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution
PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request

Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it.

It is most likely Council issued - the original name for it was ‘Resident’s Parking Permit’. There would have to be appropriate signage (usually Brown) to make the bay restriction valid.
