Driving home yesterday afternoon on the 635A to Holmfirth over saddleworth moor 16:15pm, when I was hit a black Volvo 66 plate driven erratically at speed .
At one point the driver of the Volvo was fully on my side of the road with there side of the road completely clear,it swerved at the vary last minute completely destroying my drivers side wing mirror. I actually thought they were going to intentionally hit me head on. The car did not stop and carried on to weaved erratically. The road is too narrow to u turn with ditches either side so I couldn't give chase,if only to get the reg plate. A silver transit stopped and said that the car intentionally had tried to run him off the road ! I called the 999 who were not interested and extremely rude when I asked for the police telling me it wasn't a life or death issue!! The police just gave me a crime number , Iknow that coming out of holmefirth they have an anpr camera and believe they may have one near the roundabout A669 to Oldham . Whats my chances of getting justice before this cretin kills someone? This post has been edited by mashman36: Fri, 9 Nov 2018 - 13:52 |

Well there was no point in calling 999 as it wasn't an immediate response situation, if they investigate this at all it will be a slow time investigation which they may or may not have the resources for. I would suggest going into a police station might be a better approach.
Do you have contact details from the silver transit? They will take you a lot more seriously if you have an independent witness. -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php

A bit late now, but this is where a dash cam may have helped, if it had been able to capture the registration. Think about it for the future.
