Looks like I don't have any grounds for appeal, I'll just pay off the PCN

OP, if you park on double yellow lines you're going to get a PCN ! For me, it looks as if you chanced your arm and lost.

Yellow lines don't have to be perfect, and those are very clear, and your suggestion the small gap might make them void is laughable, frankly. There are two exemptions to yellow lines - (1) boarding/alighting passengers, and (2) loading. It seems you were doing neither of these things.

The discount is your best option.

I had thought just as much and yes I accept I shouldn't have parked there

Is the car leased or hired, or do you have the V5C?

Nope it's my vehicle

Why did you park there.

Had a pipe issue, so thought I'd quickly nip in to get the part - clearly I know I shouldn't have parked there

Please let me know if I should just pay the PCN or if I have any chance of appeal

I have no idea, show us the PCN, the council photos, and give us a link to the location on google streetview. We are very good at finding reasons to challenge PCNs, but we need something to work with.

Thanks both

I have uploaded the PCN and council images and here is the location from Google maps:

51.560935, 0.099625

Any help would be great

Thanks

Hello

I have made mistake by parking on a double yellow for only a few mins (warden came on a motorbike and I saw him leave), I know I should not parked there and just logged in to pay the PCN. before I was about to pay I looked at the images and I noticed the yellow lines I parked on were not continuous and have a gap.
I am not sure if this is a requirement and if I can successfully appeal the PCN, so looking for any advise please. Attached are a couple of images from google maps and 1 images from the council with my car parked on the double yellows showing the lines are not continuous.

Please let me know if I should just pay the PCN or if I have any chance of appeal

Thanks
