Hey guys and girls, I'll try start at the beginning - I'm actually terrified!

This morning I received the above docs of a nip and s.172 forms for:

Driving a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously on a road or other public place contrary to Sec.2 of the RTA 1998

Driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a footpath contrary to section 34 (1)(b) of the RTA 1998.
The vehicle in question being my motorbike

The date and time of the alleged offences 09.14 on 12/7/17. The location is right at my address where I live. Now I have no recollection of doing this at all! At the time of writing this was now 8 calendar days ago. When I leave my house on my motorbike I use the drop kerb at my address. I'm not ruling out it never happened, this would have been immediately leaving my house to go to work so nothing sticks in my mind!

Any advice on what to do, how to potentially challenge this, what to expect would be greatly appreciated.

A very very scared, Judds.

Ok cool. I am using my own solicitor I have been in touch with local to my area. Might be the best couple of hundred I ever spent. Then again...

It's hard to know who to entrust with this, reviews on solicitors and how good they are like Gold dust, no?

I would expect a good lawyer to spend a few hours going through things with you and drafting your statement with you. They ought to explain what will happen in interview; no matter how innocent you are, once the tape recorder buzzes and the officer recites the caution you'll feel like a criminal! If the lawyer doesn't do that, well...

That's a fair shout. I was about to ask for any recommendations for a solicitor in my area, I don't want to give anything away to the opposition so to speak.

Cheers! Hoping and bl**dy praying,

J

Relief and Prayers answered!

The local constabulary has closed this with no further action without actually having to attend a non custodial interview. I get a phone call, voicemail and an sms to confirm.

Thanks all of you for your kind advice during what was a stressful time for me. <3

Judds.
