I am so cross at receiving another PCN which is again obviously correctly served. See link to photos. https://i.postimg.cc/6QMgdxdK/F700-D829-8-F...-E0-1-105-c.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/cLrXVt3p/2-C235930-034...-B1-1-105-c.jpg
I have driven in this area for years, but after scrapping my car last year due to the increased ULEZ area, I was not aware that this restriction had been put into place. After receiving 2 other fines for the same reason, is this not a case of the council not making the change to road signs explicit enough to catch drivers out?? Any advice very welcome. Many thanks This post has been edited by fed25: Wed, 19 Jan 2022 - 14:41 |

Crafty council re-offer the discount ! A difficult one to call at London Tribunals, so IMHO it would be a gamble going there, but see what the others say.

For the regulars, is it not worth checking the TMO to see when the breach occured, the first signs or the second signs?
Whilst the OP can't say that they was parked on the first two bays on the street, they can, if the street entry signs are the dominant signs, say that there is no evidence of a breach. |

All i can see from a quick look online is the experimental order from Sept 2018 https://www.camden.gov.uk/documents/20142/3...5a-37b9d6ab6f7b
Seems to suggest that the zone starts 48 metres down from Dartmouth Park Hill for 14 metres. Google Maps suggests that the distance is 37 metres to the narrowing restriction. |

Well I would carry on but obviously the pedestrian zone argument is untested. There is also an argument that the car was not caught entering a pedestrian zone because when it past the sign, it had already entered the zone.
fed25 do you feel like carrying on? -------------------- If you would like assistance with a penalty charge notice, please post a thread on https://www.ftla.uk/index.php

This is a difficult call. I have just paid out £££ in a few other fines for very similar contraventions, so money is tight. WHat are the possible implications if I carry on and dont win the appeal?

As long as you stick to the deadlines the most that will be at risk is £130.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I decided to pay the reduced fee. I couldn't afford to take the chance if the appeal didnt win.
