During my morning commute I cut someone up, changing lanes - there was a car behind me pushing and I was approaching the 50mph limit so wanted to pull into into inside lane, but there was a car just ahead there.

So I indicated and pulled into that lane, but then see a car right behind me who beeped a lot, then overtook beeping all the way.

Am I in trouble here? It probably was a bit careless of me, 650-am still a bit dark. Petrified I will now get a nip and I am in the process of switching jobs so worried about criminal records.

Any advice?

It happens hundreds of times every day! The chances of anything happening are very slim, probably less than 0.1%, get on with your life.

Even if prosecuted it would likely be for driving without due care and attention, that’s nit a recordable offence so you wouldn’t get a criminal record anyway.

You need to be more assertive in that situation, you were passing cars and are required to obey the limit, if the guy behind doesn’t like it, tough.

Who did you "cut up" Trying to visualise the scenario but just seems like normal on a busy road . If the following car was impatient and couldn't wait until you were able to move over then that's his problem .

What happened to the "event" you posted about a year ago? (http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=115645&hl= )
I would hazard a guess - nothing! (although you didn't seem to think it worth telling everyone who tried to help you!).
May I suggest that, rather than waste everyone's time yet again, that you see whether anything transpires?

As long as the OP starts putting their posts about their anxious moments in the appropriate place, ie here in the Flame Pit rather than in the sections for people with actual cases, then I don't have a problem with it - people can see what it is, and decide for themselves whether they want to spend their time reassuring a nervous driver.
