Hi Folks,
After a little advice and guidance. Received a PCN parked outside my house. Single yellow with restriction from 8am -6pm, Monday to Saturday. They pinched me at 8.14am! Observed time was 6 minutes. What are my options with this and likely success at appeal? Many thanks in advance. http://tinypic.com/r/219auq1/9 http://tinypic.com/r/5oyq1w/9 |

PCN time is 8:20. What was purpose of parking - any loading? 0845 number on PCN. Yes, in fact. Primarily unloading a child! It's directly outside my house. Collected my daughter from her mother's house, nipped into Tesco. Dropped my daughter and the shopping off before moving the car 400 metres to the closest on road parking. |

Everything, except VRM if you're worried about it.
We don't need PCN number either. -------------------- |

Thanks. I just wanted to check those deadline dates they gave you (unnecessarily) were correct;
and they are. Wait for others to look at the back of the pcn cos I'm not happy with something but rusty. ---- Back on the core issue, how old is the child? Buggy? How much shopping? Got the receipt? Did you see the CEO ? -------------------- |

You've spotting something amiss? |

boarding/alighting is an exemption, and when assisting a child or someone who needs help this can involve leaving the vehicle to see them safe inside, (you can't tuck them up in bed ) but get them inside safe then you may claim the exemption

and 8 minutes is just a little longer than we'd expect. Have a peak at GSV, it is arguable 8 mins would be reasonable., The PCN is OK just IMO other than the 0845 number but we need to find out what the service charge is -------------------- All advice is given freely. Thanks for your replies.
So, from what I can gather, the PCN is in order? Is it worth appealing on the grounds that 8 minutes would be a reasonable amount of time for unloading? I do live in a town house where the kitchen is on the top floor...... |
