Hi and greetings all
Just recently received x 2 NIPs - for the following 1) 35 in a 30 (august 2018) 2) 36 in a 30 (july 2018) for the same stretch of road but on different time periods - both occasions captured by a "manned vehicle" No previous speeding before 2010 - so have a clean license. Not sure what options, would be happy with a speed awareness course for one of the NIP's and 3 points/fine for the other? Any help going forward would help - should I send both NIP's together? thanks in advance |

A course and one fixed penalty (3 points and £100) are all but certain. Send together or separately, it won’t make any difference.

Just tick it on both, both qualify but clearly you’ll only be offered one.

There is a very slight advantage in doing a course for the earlier one, because it means you will be eligible again for a course a month earlier.

There is a very slight advantage in doing a course for the earlier one, because it means you will be eligible again for a course a month earlier. The August NIP arrived sooner than the July NIP It is offence date, not NIP/course date, that matters for course eligibility, hence why the earlier one would be an advantage. The August NIP arrived sooner than the July NIP It is offence date, not NIP/course date, that matters for course eligibility, hence why the earlier one would be an advantage. the two offences are about two weeks apart, (July and August) but for some reason the August NIP arrived sooner - as I am the main driver that the finance company has on record - so this arrived first - The July NIP is will be in the other half's name - but this has notice needs to be resent with my contact details (at this moment - we are still awaiting the initial NIP - as the finance company sent us a letter about the speeding issue in advance) So I am ready to sign and send the August dated offence does this affect course eligibility ? if the offences are a few weeks apart but due to the paperwork/postage/admin situation - the latter dated NIP arrives sooner than the earlier one? |

The July NIP is will be in the other half's name Why is that? Why would the finance company provide your details for one NIP and your OH's details for the other? If the second NIP/S172 notice does arrive addressed to your OH and you were driving she will have to complete it naming you and your own NIP/S172 will follow. |
