Hiya All
I am completely new here and I am hoping I am writing in the right section (I am useless). The letter from a company called ZZPS demanding £170 of unpaid debt for their client Civil Enforcement LTD. The letter says back in August the driver over stayed in a takeaway car park. This is the first I have heard of this and I am concerned that I have all of a sudden received this demand in red bold writing. Can they really just send this to a debt collector like this? Also, yesterday ZZPS have managed to find my mobile number and sent me a text message asking for me to call them regarding a reference number. I am so confused on what to do, if anyone has advise that would be great as i am feeling pretty intimidated. Thank you all in advance This post has been edited by dannibou: Sat, 26 Jan 2019 - 15:10 |

Send a SAR to CEL
You may as well get all their records now, and cost them time and money You can then send a followw up sar, if theyre foolish enough to try court, to get any documents after the date of yoru first SAR. |

Hello all
Thank you again for your help. I sent a letter as advised I have just been made aware of your Notice to Keeper for vehicle xxxxxx via a letter from ZZPS. You have failed to comply with the requirements of Schedule 4 of The Protection Of Freedoms Act 2012 namely, but not limited to, failing to deliver the notice within the relevant period of 14 days as prescribed by section 9 (4) of the Act. You cannot, therefore, transfer liability for the alleged charge from the driver at the time to me, the keeper. There is no legal requirement to name the driver at the time and I will not be doing so. Any further communication with me on this matter, apart from confirmation of no further action and my details being removed from your records, will be considered vexatious and harassment. This includes communication from any Debt Collection companies you care to instruct. However they have replied saying that they are no longer dealing with this and I have to contact the debt collectors? Any ideas on the next steps? |

I am having trouble uploading a copy of the correspondence. However it basically reads:
1. they have received my letter 2. they have passed on the file to zips 3. any further communication should be with zzps also lists the vehicle reg, date of incident. Any help is much appreciated. They have clearly ignored the letter I sent You were told to send an SAR to CEL, nothing else File but ignore everything short of a Letter Before Claim No, previous to the SAR suggestion I was told to send the letter I sent. I read the SAR recommendation once the letter had already been sent |
