Hi all,

Hoping for some advice on a PCN received for "Entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited".

My wife was driving at the time and thought that the traffic ahead would clear the junction and allow her to get to the other side. As a result of cars switching lanes ahead, traffic stopped more abruptly and she ended up with the back wheels inside the yellow box. Unfortunately, she didn't think to switch lanes and clear the junction.

I asked TfL for video evidence and you can see that here: https://youtu.be/c81KBJSSwP4. Our's is the white Renault.

You can see the PCN here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AgRS-om1Ri4ejxxFNJp...aarMQG?e=7iZ1p8

Thanks in advance for any help.

Leon

You need to set the YouTube video to "public", as it can't be opened at the moment.

Apologies, that should work now.

Do you think I can claim that there was space to clear the junction to the left and right and therefore, I was not blocked by a vehicle?

Also, do you think I can claim 'de minimis' due to not being completely in the yellow box?

Thanks for any advice.

No. Far from being only partly in, in was hardly out!

And reinstate all dates, times and location details in the PCN pl.

I can't make out the time clearly on the video but it seems that the video ends before 16.45 the time of the PCN. Can you check

The original video they sent runs all the way to 16:48. I cropped it to save you time. If there is anything that could be relevant, happy to upload the whole thing.

Thanks

That's been rejected by the tribunal numerous times before. I can only see one page of the PCN? Where's the rest?

Can't see any issues with the PCN.

Thanks for checking. Looks like I don't have any cause to appeal then, so I'll pay the fine.
