I have received a charge notice from Highview Parking for parking in a precinct car park for 1 hour 45 minutes which is 15 minutes over the permitted 1.5 hours. This was on a bank holiday Monday 28 August and the notice that has arrived through the post is dated 11 September.

We simply lost track of time whilst shopping in the area and I always thought it was 2 hours in this car park but now appears to be 1.5 hours.

What is the tactic for dealing with these now? I note they are quoting the Beavis ruling on their notice. Also, there is an image of my car going into the car park and I can see the driver and the passenger very clearly - is this legal as this could have put someone in a compromising position sending this imagine randomly to someone's home address. The image leaving the carpark is further away, so I can't see why it can't be the same for entering the carpark.

QUOTE (Roco @ Sat, 23 Sep 2017 - 10:58) *
Right, I submitted the appeal on Thursday and 9pm. I received a response on Friday about 11am advising that the ticket had been cancelled.

Didn't quite smash the record but pretty good.

Thank you everyone for your help.

Yay - thanks for confirming it worked again! That's 2 hours in terms of a working day!
