Hi all,
Have got an email today regarding a new consultation re penalty charges in London: https://consultations.tfl.gov.uk/general/pe...=penalty-charge Covers congestion charge, bus lanes and YBJs. The proposal is to up the penalty for contraventions to £160 (from the current £130). The usual "discount" will still apply. This consultation will run until 10 November. |

I was at a public transport meeting this morning, where it has been suggested that buses are fitted with special 'enforcement cameras' so that they can catch motorists who are contravening moving traffic offences. What I find disturbing is that they then refer to 'the business model' of such an exercise.
In the next breath the bus operators want their drivers to be exempt form parking fines, yellow box fines etc. The whole thing is a scam. It would be interesting to find out how much people pay for fines in Paris, Berlin, Brussells etc. |
