If someone could advise me I would really appreciate it. This was original notice not a reminder.
Thanks I’m advance. Offence on 09/04/2018. Issued on 24/04/2017. This post has been edited by Oioisaveloy: Thu, 17 May 2018 - 18:48 |

Are you the registered keeper and is the address on your log book correct?

To add, how do you know it is the original notice. Lots of regions do not indicate if it is a reminder or not.

It can't be a reminder, since at least 28 days (+ 2 for service) would needed to have elapsed from the offence. More likely the first NIP went to someone else, they responded promptly naming you and a subsequent NIP was issued.

It was sent to the company I work for. They received letter on 25/04/2018. Do they have to name me first and then I fight it or can I fight it without them doing it?

They have to name you or face prosecution.
Likewise, when you receive yours then you also have to comply with the s172 request or face 6 points. However, my money is on a lease company receiving the first NIP within time. The 14 days only applies to this notification. Unless you can see the v5 then it appears you don’t have a ‘late’ NIP defence. -------------------- RK=Registered Keeper, OP=Original Poster (You!), CoFP=Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty, NtK=Notice to Keeper, NtD=Notice to Driver
PoFA=Protection of Freedoms Act, SAC=Safety Awareness Course, NIP=Notice of Intended Prosecution, ADR=Alternative Dispute Resolution PPC=Private Parking Company, LBCCC=Letter Before County Court Claim, PII=Personally Identifiable Information, SAR=Subject Access Request Private Parking - remember, they just want your money and will say almost anything to get it. |

Ah ok that’s what probably has happened then. I’ll contact the lease company just to check. Thanks for the advice

If there is a lease company its pretty much 100% they are the registered keeper.
