Unfortunately no meaningful punishment seems to have been applied despite the premeditated serial offending (for reasons clear in the article).

It's a bit worrying that (apparently) the police went after the same person seven times who (presumably) said it wasn't him. But rather than going back to family who nominated him seven times, they just plugged away.

It doesn't excuse the offences but why on earth wasn't it stamped out quicker?

The article suggests the nominated driver was arrested after a warrant was issued. I would suggest he never received anything nor was aware of the allegations. I think it's unlikely he still lives at the same address as when he worked for the offender.

It does look like the offender has managed to blag the court though!
