Hi,
I had parked in front of a dropped footway, not being familar with the area I hadn't even notice! Any chance of appeal or should I just pay? Broxbourne council does not have an online service to check for photos but yes I had parked in front of the footway, you can see the images here:- https://i.imgur.com/bomWeQf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VQMK6mt.jpg https://i.imgur.com/u0K7MNc.jpg Thanks Karim |

What is the purpose of the Dropped Kerb? Is there one on the opposite side of the road?
Please post a GSV (Google Street View) link to the location. |

No idea what the purpose is. GSV: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.6833186,-...3312!8i6656 Pedestrian Access.... one on far side of road on corner to match. But, although there are no parking pole signs, this is a marked out parking space. And a designated parking space is an exemption to the law on DKs. I doubt this would fall into "designated" but there is a conflict on signage. The DK needs no signs, it's shape and format is deemed enough. But a marked parking place conflicts as this allows parking across a DK. If the council want to enforce on a DK, they cannot put conflicting signs that promote the idea that parking is okay. |
